Hatred

Climbing higher, higher and higher
Digging myself from this hole
The one I never dug
The one I’ve spent sometime in

Forced into to this grave by someone’s jealousy
Hatred worked the shovels
When I realised it was too late
My only fault was to live my life the way it was meant.

The shackles around me loosening
My heart pumps with happiness
Freedom is near
Hell is becoming a distant past

The promised land only a sunray away
My destiny just above me
The last of my strength pushing me out
I take a deep breathe

Liquid flowing down my cheeks
Not sure if its tears or sweat
Either way I’m glad my body is being cooled down
Slowly I can smell the flowers
